CYO Basketball Registration
Basketball season will be here before we know it, and we are excited to announce that registration for the 2026–2027 CYO Basketball season is open!
The San Geronimo Valley Community Center and St. Cecilia's Church is proud to continue this longstanding partnership, providing local youth with an opportunity to develop basketball skills, build confidence, form lasting friendships, and experience the value of teamwork and good sportsmanship.
CYO Basketball is more than just a recreational sports program. It is a chance for young athletes to challenge themselves, learn from supportive coaches, and become part of a positive team environment. Whether your child is stepping onto the court for the first time or has played for several seasons, CYO Basketball welcomes players of all skill levels. The focus is on learning, growing, and having fun while competing in a respectful and encouraging atmosphere.
The program is open to students in 3rd through 8th grade. Third-grade players are eligible to play on the 4th-grade team; however, families should be aware that CYO requires at least 70% of a 4th-grade team roster to consist of 4th-grade students in order for that team to be formed. If there are not enough 4th-grade players to meet this requirement, team options may be adjusted based on CYO guidelines and overall registration numbers.
Registration Deadline: Friday, October 2nd!
No exceptions will be made after the deadline.
Key Details:
- Practices begin in November, held one to two afternoons per week (schedule TBD based on coach availability).
- NEW! Games start the first week of December.
- Fee: $300 per player
($50 discount for each additional sibling)
- Scholarships are available upon request.
Important: You are registering your child for the basketball program, not a specific team. Final team placement will be determined based on registration numbers and what best supports the program overall.
We rely on volunteers to lead our teams— please consider stepping up to coach or support a team. It’s a great way to get involved and make a difference!
