Starting this March, join the Community Center for “Creative Try-Outs” a chance to explore new creative outlets for expression at the Community Center. Each month we hope to offer classes from empanada cooking to felting and Diddley bow (cigar box guitar) building.
The March Creative Try-Outs happening on Saturday, March 8th from 1-4 pm features Lucky Charm making with Lara Starr:
Ages: 16 & up
Class costs for Creative Try-Outs are $20. Class limited to 12 maximum.
Charm School: Resin Charm-Making Workshop
Resin charms are little metal frames you can fill with tiny gems, bits of paper ephemera, beads… anything itty bitty! All the tools, supplies, and inspiration provided to make as many charms as you like during the three-hour workshop! Crafters can also bring meaningful little bits and bobs such as an earring that has lost its mate, a photo of a loved one, petals or tiny flowers, a snippet of a ticket stub, yarn from a beloved, or a stamp from a special letter. Students will graduate Charm School with 5-7 unique mini collage keepsakes!
